Biblical encouragement to ask questions.

Introduction

The Bible repeatedly encourages asking questions, seeking wisdom, and examining what is claimed.

Scripture Encourages Questions

God invites us to reason with Him.

"'Come now, let us reason together,' says the Lord. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.'"

We should not believe every spirit, but test them.

Matthew 18:12

Jesus invited examination of His works as evidence.

"If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."

The Biblical Wisdom Tradition

Wisdom begins with seeking knowledge.

We are commanded to get wisdom and understanding.

The Path Forward

God rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

Investigation and truth align.

"For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth."
